#CASTRODEAD?

Rumors are rampant that Fidel Castro has assumed room temperature.
Dead or alive?

You know this is a big story when the Mega-Miami-Media-superstar-reporters like David Ovalle and Brian Andrews are being hustled to La Caretta and Versailles to closely monitor the situation.

Here's what we know:

Lines are forming outside Home Depot to buy plywood. Ditto Publix for water.
There's been a run on tres leches and  picadillo and maduros. The situation is fluid and it is unknown at this time if we will be having dinner and dessert.

Mitt Romney is running for President in 2016. Really. It has nothing to do with Castro, but it's cool. Our generation's Harold Stassen.

So here's what we suggest. Have a glass of rum and then a shot from a collada and watch Godfather II. Whatever will be will be.

HR.

Why does Sir Kenny Weisman always wear the J. Peterman urban Sombrero to the Justice Bldg?

Is he trying to recreate the Lenny Cooperman look of the 90's?

boo ya Sir Kenny!

Only the good die young. Fidel will live forever.

Radical Muslim acts of terror are not acts that should be handled in American courts. they should not get the services court appointed lawyers or a private lawyers. These matters should be handled in military courts. We are still at war with radical Muslims. Every week they cut against freedom and peace across the world in the name of Mohammed. Drop the bomb. Kill them all.

Stop with the Muslim label, it's the TERRORIST label we should be concerned with. Focusing on Muslim perpetuates the ignorance and hate. Come on, as defense attorneys I thought we were better than that.

Don't Colby and Weisman own "WeisCo'? A management company that runs a string of Sizzler SteakHouses and Applebees in the greater Milwaukee area as well as Ames, Iowa and in Oklahoma City.

Former Miami criminal defense lawyer Greg Prebish passed away last week in Jackson, Wyoming after a sudden illness. Really nice guy. Many of us old timers renember his dad, Harry Prebish, who was one of the finest back in the 60s and 70s. RIP Greg.

The acclaimed chef Marty Funkhouser is the executive chef for WeisCo's restaurants.

Funkhauser was booted out of WeisCo after a dust up over an undercooked 14oz Sizzler Slam Steak Dinner. Eddie Banya has taken over. The best, the best.

Kenny eats at Black Brick- the best Chinese food in Miami- all the time with his blog buddy shumie. Funhouser is a partner in that restaurant.

You can find Funkhouser many a Friday night with a brewski and a shumie cigar at the shumie everglades cigar bar. And usually a latina nearby….

Marty Funkhouser is a bit of a Zelig figure, turning up everywhere and nowhere. He went to HS in Bensonhurst Brooklyn, NY, and then graduated City College of New York with a degree in Accounting. Virtually nothing is known of his immediate post college years, although reports are known to exist that he drove a limo, dealt blackjack in Atlantic City, and was a bouncer at Studio 54. Eventually Funkhouser surfaced in the early Miami restaurant scene, opening a series of successful eateries in South Beach in the early 1980s. Mendys was his biggest hit, and a second Mendys was opened in Manhattan to some acclaim, the NY Times giving it three stars and saying it's Manhattan Clam Chowder was the best in the City.
Funkhouser turned his restaurant know-how into a big corporate success and he is listed as an executive chef for several large restaurant chains.

Funkhouser reportedly is a decent golfer and is very devoted to his family, although he was recently divorced. He has two daughters, one of which is slightly mentally disabled and Funkhouser is active in several ID charities.
Funkhouser is friends with several celebrities including Larry David, who made Funhouser a character on his show Curb Your Enthusiasm. Funkhouser is played by well known Character actor Bob Einstein.
