WEEK 8 NFL 2016

Week Eight by Rumpole21 on Scribd

Week 7 saw Immache take a loss while the rest bravely marched on. But drama lurks in week 8 as of this posting at 8:30 Sunday night, Michael Feiler hasn't picked. He still has the Monday night game.

If we were making selections today, we would have told you to take the Jets, Raiders, and that the DC -Bengals game in London would end in a tie.

Busy busy busy. Even on Sundays. See You In Court this week. Lots of trials and motions before the holiday season is upon us.

Of our Black Judges, I think that Hanzman and Bagley are real good. Hanzman remembers where he came from and is good to all. He graduated #5 from his law school class at Howard University.

Any opinion on a criminal defense attorney actively working with police he works against in court to arrest people?

Freedman, Kaeiser and Lurvey escape by the skin of their teeth with an OT win with Cowpokes over Eagles. Meanwhile, Lucy Lew is out under Rumpole's Rule Number 4.0.6.2 which states, in pertinent part:

Here are the rules.

1) Send an email to FBpool12@gmail.com. NOT to our regular email.

2) Include in the subject line "I used to be an ASA but I resigned because the work was too hard."

3) Every week send us ONE pick before the start of the games. If you miss the 1PM games, you can still pick a 4 PM or Sunday or Monday night game.

4) Once you use that team, you cannot use the team for the rest of the year. Point spreads do not apply. All you need to do is pick one team each week who will win.

As well as the unfortunate passing of Judge Cook who was a great guy on and off the bench. Whenever I would see him at the falls or other places he would go out of his way to ask how the family was doing and what I was working on. No black robe fever ever unlike many of our new judges. Along with his passing was the death of Dr. Charles Mutter. Chuck was a forescenic psychiatrist who performed court appointed exams and testified usually for the state. Although we had many battles in the courtroom, Chuck was never personal and was very likeable out of court. As an advocate he was very difficult to cross-examine and made an excellent witness. As with Judge Cook, we are sadden by his passing. I believe many of the "old timers" from the Justice Building share my sentiments. May they both rest in peace.

Judge Hanzman is not black, at least last week when I was in front of him. I don't think he went to Howard. Perhaps you are referring to Bags. He is arrogant and not afraid to call out attorneys. But he is smart and usually makes the right decision in the end.
